Monthly Calendar

We’re raising money for the Centre!

We're hosting our Annual Bake Sale, to fundraise for our programming, on Saturday, May 4th 9:30am - 2:00pm and you're invited!

As we're gearing up, we're looking for volunteers to sign up to provide nut free baked goods. Bakers will sign up to bake and will drop off their goods, or have them picked up, to the Centre before the Bake Sale (Saturday May 4th).

We ask that items are nut free (or labelled with ingredients) and individually packaged. If you cannot individually package items, SRCPC staff will take care of it for you!

Land Acknowledgement

South Riverdale Child-Parent Centre acknowledges the territories the Huron-Wendat, the Haudenosaunee, the Anishinaabe, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the New Credit. Tkaronto is in the Dish With One Spoon Territory. The Dish With One Spoon is a treaty between the Anishinaabe, Mississaugas and Haudenosaunee that bound them to share the territory and protect the land. Subsequent Indigenous Nations and peoples, Europeans and all newcomers have been invited into this treaty in the spirit of peace, friendship and respect. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work in the community, on this territory.

We support the families of Riverdale.

The South Riverdale Child-Parent Centre is a haven for parents, caregivers and children to play, learn and grow.  Imagine a place where babies and young children are given the opportunity to interact and play with a variety of age-appropriate toys, and parents and caregivers are supported by the staff in learning caregiver skills.

A neighbour introduced me to the SRCPC when Charlie was just a few months old. It was a saving grace to have such a warm, safe and inviting environment to take him to throughout the year. Both he and I have made lasting friends, and I felt it was such an important part of the community that I joined the board! Charlie is 6 now, and still gets excited to go to the drop in and play! Thank you for all the support you provide.

Christina Jackson, Mom and former SRCPC Board President

The most fantastic, friendly, helpful staff EVER work at the children’s drop in. This centre is clean with a ton of toys, and there is also a toy library available. There are also amazing outings on Wednesdays that you can sign up for. This is an incredible space to meet other caregivers/parents, and a fantastic spot to let your little one explore!

Amanda E., Caregiver

Fantastic team of supportive women at a centre that feels like a girlfriend’s warm inviting family room. These women care and it shows. Excellent Wednesday programming, circle time and crafts, great backyard to play in when it is warm, and a toy library! Also, the best play dough ☺️ and coffee always brewing.

Paulina B., Mom

Our space is wheelchair-accessible. All children aged 0-6 years and their parents/caregivers are welcome!

Want to borrow a toy? Ask us about our toy library!
