Hi, my name is Yangdon Tenzin!
This is my second placement. I am an Early Childhood Studies student at Toronto Metropolitan University, I am so excited to be able to join you guys here and learn from you all.
During this placement, I’m looking forward to building strong connections with children, supporting their learning through play, and gaining more hands-on experience here. My placement start & end dates are May 4th to June 9th
My previous experiences with children and families include supporting the infant room in an Early Learning Child Care Centre, I’ve worked as a babysitter for 2 years, and I’ve loved every bit of raising my 5 year old niece and 2 year old nephew.
My goals for placement are to develop my confidence as an educator, improve my communication skills with children and families, and learn new strategies to support children’s development and well-being.
I am 20 years old and have worked professionally as a Pastry Chef the last 3 years. In my free time I enjoy taking my three dogs out to parks or beaches. I own a chihuahua, maltese, and pomeranian. I speak English and Tibetan, I am also currently learning sign language.
