LGBTQ2S Inclusion in the Early Years
A Glitterbug Workshop Series for Parents and Caregivers of Young Children
Join Glitterbug for an interactive workshop series that explores how you as a parent or caregiver can support your child’s understanding of the many different ways gender and families exist in today’s world. Workshops cover: LGBTQ2S language and terminology; how to talk to your kids about LGBTQ2S communities and gender diversity; why LGBTQ2S inclusion matters for young children; and tangible examples of how you can promote LGBTQ2S inclusion in your day-to-day interactions with the children in your life.
Introduction to LGBTQ2S Communities and Gender Diversity will be on Feb. 3rd
Gender Conscious Practices for Parents and Caregivers will be on Mar. 3rd.
The 519’s Glitterbug program celebrates the diversity of sexual orientations, family configurations and gender identities that exist among families. Glitterbug offers affirming programming for LGBTQ2S families and aims to promote queer- and trans-inclusive programming in early childhood and family contexts.
